While The House of Representatives resumed its probe into the alleged New Bilibid Prison (NBP) drug trade, Senator Leila de Lima on Monday joined an event at the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) Chapel.
De Lima attended the mass in commemoration of the World Day Against Death Penalty with some officials of the Commission on Human Rights.
De Lima was emotional during one part of the mass.
As the House resumed its probe Monday morning, convicted crime lord Jaybee Sebastian also denied De Lima's claim that he was a "government asset."
