As posted in politiko, Sen. Panfilo Lacson bared this Thursday the P8B moved by Lower House to DPWH from ARMM budget for 2017
“(T)he amount of P8 billion was transferred to the central office of the DPWH,” Lacson said, adding he would restore the amount to the regional government.
He questioned the House of Representatives’ for not using the the Unified Accounts Code Structure that's used to tck Government budget.
Lacson added that the budget of the ARMM for 2017 as initially proposed by Malacanang was P40,573,946,000 but when the proposed national budget reached the House of Representatives, the budget for ARMM was whittled down by P8,317,100,000.
Lacson said he promised ARMM Governor Mujiv Hataman he will restore the amount and once the P8 billion is restored to the regional government, it will have added resources to help the Armed Forces go after the Abu Sayyaf group.
“We’re still trying to locate something like P100 million. But by far we have identified the substantial portion of the P8,317,100,000,” he said.
